Terms of Use

Last updated June 2026. These are the everyday rules for using brink. Plain English where we can.

1. About brink

brink is a participation and discovery platform operated from Edinburgh, Scotland. brink connects users with third-party regulated payment platforms and verified delivery partners. brink does not itself receive or hold donation funds.

2. Eligibility

You must be 16 or older to create a fundraiser. By using the platform you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that your activity does not breach applicable law.

3. Donations

All donations are processed by regulated third-party payment providers (such as JustGiving, Donorbox, Crowdfunder, Enthuse and Stripe). Payment terms are governed by the relevant provider. brink takes no platform fee on donations.

4. Fundraisers

Fundraisers must direct funds to a project listed on brink and may not collect funds outside the regulated payment platforms linked from the platform. Misleading fundraisers may be removed at brink's discretion.

5. Partners

Business partners must accurately represent the nature and amount of their giving, must not imply endorsement by delivery partners without consent, and must comply with applicable advertising and consumer protection law.

6. Intellectual property

The brink name, marks, copy and imagery are the property of brink. Project imagery and copy are used with permission of the delivery partner.

7. Liability

brink provides the platform on an as-is basis. To the extent permitted by law, brink excludes liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform or from third-party payment providers.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
