Privacy Notice

Who we are

brink ("we", "us") operates the brink platform from Edinburgh, Scotland. We are the data controller for personal data collected through the platform.

What we collect

Account details (name, email), fundraiser content you publish, basic analytics about how the site is used, and communications you send us. Donation payment details are collected by the regulated payment provider, not by brink.

How we use it

To operate the platform, surface relevant projects, send you updates you've asked for, prevent abuse, and report aggregate impact statistics. We do not sell personal data.

Lawful basis

We rely on legitimate interest for core platform operation, consent for marketing emails, and contract for transactional activity you initiate (such as creating a fundraiser).

Sharing

We share data with our payment providers and the delivery partner of the project you support, only as needed to operate that activity. We use standard infrastructure providers (hosting, analytics) under data processing agreements.

Retention

We keep account data while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards for legal and accounting purposes.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time. Email privacy@brink.scot. You can also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies

We use a small set of cookies for essential functionality and privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use advertising trackers.
